'Ah, contrasting spring! As the fairer season starts it seems to stretch as it awakens, peering out through the heavy, disappearing mist. Odourless winter, its frozen legacy about to thaw, yields to the fresh-water air. Worms at the surface of the fresh-cut grass awaken the senses of the birds, who’s playful notes of song enliven the peace'.
